We have a range of output options for translations and typesetting work to suit all your needs.

Translation output

By e-mail

The usual system for delivery, and one which is particularly suitable for translations into languages not involving unusual character sets. You receive your file in a format to suit your system.

Laser-printed and delivered by courier

This is a suitable option for office documentation and the like and it is probably the best method for texts using character sets not available in your system.

If you are expecting to process a lot of documentation in, say, Russian or Greek, it may be worth your while to install the necessary software to enable you to output documents locally.

If this is your case, we can advise you about system requirements.

And of course, we can deliver by fax which is OK if the content matters more to you than the presentation, but anything longer than a page or two is probably best delivered some other way.

DTP output

Lithographic film

All publications intended for the press, be they large or small, in "problem languages" or not, can be supplied on lithographic film and delivered by courier.

File format for local output

For some languages with special difficulties it may be possible to send you a file to output locally; in this case we would liaise with your service bureau if necessary to resolve any potential problems.

Image files

Output for small jobs can be in the form of image files.

This is a very practical solution for graphic artists and layout people who want to include languages that present special difficulties, such as Japanese and Chinese (which require a whole suite of special software), Russian or Czech (where inputting and font compatibility are issues). Even German and French have pitfalls for the unwary.

Typical applications would be packaging (lists of ingredients, etc., for products for export), press advertisements or web sites.

For most languages, files can be supplied in outline or hi-res bitmap format, according to requirements.
